The largest working rare breeds centre in Europe has over 400 head of stock. You can see cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and poultry all year round. Breeds on display include Gloucester, Kerry, Irish Moiled, Red Poll, Shetland, White Park, British White, Beef Shorthorn and Belted Galloway cattle. Kerry Hill, Whitefaced Woodland and Portland sheep. Golden Guernsey goats and various breeds of poultry. We have breeding herds of all the cattle on the RBST Watchlist, including the only Vaynol cattle in the world! The traditional Georgian and Victorian farm buildings also house collections of farming equipment, machinery and old agricultural tools and are a valuable resource for schools.
