Caroline Slater and husband Gary Slater are the landlady and landlord of the Bridge Inn.

They have been here for nearly 2 years and have built up a good reputation for Homecooked food and a good selection of cask ales.

Food is served from 12pm to 3pm lunchtimes and 5pm to 9pm evenings. Roger, the chef, has been a friend of the family running the business for over 30 years. He makes his own homemade pies which are becoming quite legendary around the area. He also makes his own casseroles including game, beef stew and dumplings, rabbit, beef goulash to name a few. We also have an extensive vegetarian menu including, 5 bean chilli, veg lasagne, veg moussaka, winterbean casserole, medetteranian pasta bake and many more. Our prices range from 1.90 for a starter. Main courses range from 4.25 for a main course, the most expensive item we have for a main course has been fillet steak (on special board) for 7.50, which we believe to be very reasonable prices considering today's managed houses offerings.

We offer no gimmicks, just an all round warm and friendly atmosphere, our general age range is from 25+.

For those disearning drinkers in the area, we have a wide range of beers, lagers, wines and spirits on offer.

We have traditional cask bitter, Tetley's mild (which is somewhat of a rarity these days), Timothy Taylors Landlord, Black Sheep and a guest pump which had included the likes of Speckled Hen, Bombardier, Greene King IPA, Tetley's Dark Mild, Pedigree and so many others I have forgotten them all! We like to get a guest ale eack week so there is a choice for everyone's tastebuds. We also have a large selection of Whiskys ranging from bells to glenmorangie, Johnny walker black label etc. Our lagers include stella, Carlsberg, carling & Carlsberg export. For those of you who are tea total we also have a range of non alcoholic drinks including freshly ground coffee.
