Jumped by lads on Burley Road, then bullied by Weetwood Police!

While walking home yesterday evening, my husband and I were jumped by a couple of lads on Burley Road (near Park Lane College). My husband was carrying our laptop, and they tried to snatch it and run off but just succeeded in breaking the shoulder strap and the laptop went bouncing on the pavement.
They ran away with amazing speed, and we were left with our bashed up laptop.
So I asked J (my hubby) to report it this morning.
And the Weetwood Police went out to see him in the office and after interrogating him, told him that they thought he was lying. Instead of taking the report and giving him a crime report number they've insisted that he go into the station tomorrow to keep talking to them.

What is wrong with our fair city? It's bad enough getting attacked in broad daylight on a busy street, but then to have to go through extended hassle from bullying police playing mind games makes it so much worse!
